Why I made this inburgering course.
I am Dutch, so I never had to do the inburgering myself. My Iranian family did. I helped them prepare, and saw where it goes wrong.
The exam itself is very trainable. It has a fixed shape and asks for specific, well-defined tasks. But the course they paid for taught general Dutch, conversation and grammar, while the exam asked for something else.
So I made this course. It focuses on exactly the parts the exam tests, and nothing it does not.

Inburgeringscursus: frequently asked questions
An inburgeringscursus prepares you for the inburgeringsexamen. Most newcomers from outside the EU must pass this exam to stay in the Netherlands, get permanent residence, or become a Dutch citizen. If you have to integrate, your gemeente gives you a personal plan (your PIP) that says what to do. Our course helps you pass the exam. It skips the Dutch you do not need for it.
There are two separate costs. First, the exam itself. You pay this to DUO, not to us. Each part costs €50, so the five parts (four language parts plus KNM) come to €250 in total. A language school costs much more: a few hundred to a few thousand euros for classroom lessons. You can borrow from DUO for approved courses and exams, and if you pass on time you may not have to pay it back. Always check the current prices with DUO. Second, our course. It is online and exam-focused, and costs far less than a language school. You see the monthly price on our pricing page.
Under the current law (Wet inburgering 2021), your gemeente sets your route in your PIP. Most people follow the B1-route, with language level B1. It can be lowered to A2 if you need that. The Onderwijsroute is higher (B1 or B2) for people who want to study. The Z-route is for people who need extra support for daily life in Dutch. Not sure which one is yours? Look in your PIP. We cover all three official routes.
Yes. The exam is predictable. It has a fixed set of parts (Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking and KNM), and the question types come back every time. So you can train for it. What helps most is practice on the real tasks, with feedback that tells you what to fix. An online cursus does that well: in your own time, as often as you want.
No rule forces you into a language school. You can prepare any way you like, as long as you pass the exams. Many people mix cheap online practice with a few lessons from a tutor. What matters to DUO is the result, not where you studied.
